Im doing a report and I'm trying to find stats to determine how often the murderer confesses or is apprehended before an investigation is launched to determine who did it? I can't seem to find a study that specifies that. I want to see how often crimes are actually solved by police work rather then the perpetrator being apprehended on the spot or confessing.
