In alot of songs like boulevard of broken dreams and 21 guns and alot of other songs the verse has more of an acoustic sound in the guitar but when you go to the chorus it has the disorted kinda sound an electric guitar makes. When they do the transition from the verse to chorus they dont switch guitars. How do they achieve this? Do they use a pedal? If so what kind of pedal would they use?
