I am looking to buy a 1999 Dodge Ram Sport. Had a shop look at it and there is some pretty significant damage underneath. I am trying to locate the parts online to see what the cost will be to fix it. I am mechanically declined and know nothing about cars. The part I am trying to identify is near the front tires. I know it comes off the frame somewhere between the tire and door and I think attaches to the axel or somewhere near the tire and is probably a little more than a foot long. I think it might be a control arm but nor sure. Definitely looks like it is for support. It is broke in two. I really dont see the purpose it serves but its there so has to be important. I just need something to make it at least 8 months when I will finish up school before I start spending a whole lot in repairs. Thanks in advance for any help!
