I am making a cheesy corn recipe that calls for 1 1/2 cups of shredded "Sharp American" cheese but I looked at the store and I didn't see any kind of shredded american cheese only the individually wrapped ones. I am going to go to one more store but if I can't find it what other cheese blend would be close? Maybe like a Triple Cheddar blend or just a mild Cheddar? I am not willing to unwrap and shred 1 1/2 cups worth of sliced american cheese so I am just looking for something kinda close. Thanks to all that help!
What other cheese is close Sharp American in taste?
