...for senior year of college? The assistant dean of my college, also one of my professors, has deliberately gone out of his way to push my credibility into the ground. I recently transferred from one university to another. I met with an adviser two different times. This is a different guy, He holds a P.h.d. in my major, well respected and has authority to put me on schedule to graduate within two semesters. I have his signature and explanation of my last classes before I can graduate. Two weeks into the semester, I received a letter stating that I have an additional 9 hrs of credit that did not transfer. I had 18 hrs, was advised that I should lighten my load since I obviously was not going to graduate when expected. I dropped down to 12 hrs with a job. One of the courses that did not Transfer, I passed with a "D", before I made the move. They said that they could accept the D on transfer, but that it was not compatible to the class I needed the credit for. However; not only is it compatible, it is a combination of two courses that are prerequisites to my upper-level courses. Back to the professor that has hurt me, he would not even read over the course descriptions, saying that they were not the same. After that, I asked him what options would I have or what could I do, to get someone to take another look at these credits. He told me that the decision had been made and that my only choice was to take the class over. It should not end with him telling me this. I was told that I could petition the transfer by a friend at another school, but have not been able to find any petition information from my school. I really need some advice, because I was receiving a pell grant, but am no longer eligible due to semesters exceeded. This has my whole world messed up and the assistant dean has put his personal feelings towards me in the middle of several different situations since then. I have not asked for his help, but he has voluntarily taken my file and worked up my schedule this past semester. Also, instead of making an attempt to give an override into closed courses, he made several unnecessary phone calls to teachers, giving a long negative spill about me and then asking if they had room to let me in. What can I do about this? I do not want his help, but especially do not need him to go out of his way to hold me back from advancing towards my diploma. If you've read this far, thank you for your time and please advise me on my cluster of a situation. I have more to my story if you are interested in helping me out. Please let me know.
