We have 90 and 95 octane in our country. I sometimes use american lube and does not seem to identify a change yet in fuel economy. it currently does 6 to 7 km per leter, according to manufacturer it should do more..Please help. And does any one know whether the digital meter indicates in miles or kilometers in corolla.

really you can use all of them and the car wil run but knowing which that gets you the best mileage only way is by testing a few places best to start with where you always stop fill up with best they offer set mileage or write it down drive til you need to refill try next lower type at that place do same thing set mileage drive til you need to fil lup again one that gets you the best mileage one to use at that place now stop at place that you sometimes stop at and do the same not all place have the same type of fuel so each brand wil get or not get what your wanting only way of knowing is by testing a few you buy what your car gets the best mileage with each place or brand wil be differant is up to driver to find the fuel the car wants

It seems as though you are not in the States. Here we have various levels of octane, and here you would use an octane level of 87. The best way to find out this information is to look at your owner's manual, it should tell you in there. If you don't have a copy, go to or call your local Toyota dealership and ask them in the service department.

As for the odometer reading in Km or Miles, there should be a K or an M next to the reading.
