I've been checking around for a device that's like the iPod Touch or iPad, but is not Apple controlled. I want a device that is NOT linked to a cell phone carrier plan, but is more like a Touch or pocket-sized laptop that uses wi-fi for on the go internet use and perhaps for email/an inbox (like Windows Mail, where it holds the message to send until you're linked to a network).
I know that CreAtive makes some music players that can use wifi, but is there anything better out there? A pocket-sized device that is also a mp3 player would be a plus.
And just FYI, I'm talking about something smaller and less expensive than a netbook. Think pocket-sized.
