I'm finally moving out of the garden state and into new york to be closer to work. I use to live in south philly (queen's village) and i miss my old neighborhood tons. Just curious if anyone had an answer. Things i love about south philly - cheap places to live, I knew all my neighbors and all the cashiers at the bodega, beautiful and beat up row houses with infamous bowling ally living rooms, neighborhood christmas lights we all kept lit by donations, nobody called the cops on parties or loud music, old italian ladies whose front windows were decorated for EVERY holiday, sitting on your front stoop in the summer drinking a 40 and nobody caring.

I know I wont find something exactly like this, but im curious to hear what people say.

thanks in advance
