I don't know when this movie was made, but a rough estimate would be 1980s or early 1990s? Anyways the movie starts in like 1960s I think and there is a very old black woman telling the story of her life or of black people and there are 2 white guys listening I think. Anyways, the story she tells is like shortly after the civil war and black people are free. I just remember a few scenes: like one part there are some blacks that get attacked and killed by some racist whites and the black mom had to leave her baby in a stable and it was crying. Another scene had like 2 black kids and a white woman shooed them away but another white woman was reluctantly kind to them and gave them some clothes or food I forget. And there was another scene where a black guy was walking down a road and some white guy straight up shoots him in the chest with a shotgun. And I think another black guy was dragged behind horses from a rope.
I hope I'm not mixing 2 movies together. Just trying to remember what it was. Any idea?
