What mortar mix do I need under a ceramic tile repair?

I've removed a stud wall between 2 rooms that are tiled and need to place ceramic tiles where the wall previously existed.(approx 1M/3' long by 150mm/6") This is a short term patch up job as the whole floor will be replaced later but it needs to be made 'visitor friendly' for Christmas.

What is the best mix of sand and cement or other additives to support the temporarily replaced tiles?
