Scientists have known for some time that Venus may very well still be geologically active. Tectonics obviously tried to start, and the surface is so hot that the crust is likely more plastic than Earth's crust is. No, that does not mean that anything massive will sink into the surface, but it might dent it more than it would dent the surface of the Earth.
