What method should I use to paint tile board paneling in my bathroom?

I want to give the old bathroom a "mini makeover" but I don't want to rip out the tile board just yet. I want to paint over the existing tile board, which is homely, but in good physical shape. Should I clean, prime, and paint with an acrylic paint, use a plastic spray paint like Fusion, or something else? All suggestions appreciated!
