i think she wants the reader to understand that you can love more than one person and there are many different kinds of love. but in the end their is only one person and one kind of love that you want to be with at the end of the day. because eclipse is all about bella being torn apart between edward and jacob but she then realizes that she loves both of them but is only in love with edward. that is what i would say. hope this helped.
