briefly, my Father is the type of man who is very stubborn and would never see a psychologist in his life. Unfortunately I tend to think that there is something severely wrong with him mentally and emotionally. First off, he is not a kind man and never has been. he's very racist and closed minded and is also one of the most negative people i have ever met. he never looks on the bright side of things and always thinks that because i have an open mind it means i am naive and ignorant. He is very hard on myself and my siblings, he always has been. he trusts no one and is a very paranoid person, he always thinks my mothers is cheating on him. he blows up for no reason and we are a household constantly walking on eggshells. I would like to add also that he is an alcoholic and has struggled with substance abuse most of his life. The alcohol obviously intensifies these traits but with or without alcohol he is still a jealous, insecure and controlling man who's mood changes from minute to minute. I don't know much about psychology so I would like some inputs, please. I would greatly appreciate it. thank you
