What material is eco-friendly, food grade, waterproof, and (maybe?) organic?

I want to sew some reusable zip lock bags for lunches because I can't swallow $6 a bag to buy them. What material would I make these out of? Obviously I don't want to line them with a PVC based material or anything with BPA or phthalates in it...and if any fabric is touching my food I'd like it to be organic. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Wax paper is a good idea except the whole point is I don't want to be throwing something away...I want something I can toss in the dishwasher and reuse. I know something like this exists because I've seen it and heard of it, I just don't remember what it's called to ask for it.

I can't think of a fiber that would fill that need but how about the old fashioned waxed paper. Yes parafin is a petro chemical but it does not transfer to the food, the paper it is applied to is a renewable resource. Just wrap up your sandwich and go.
