people say they can profit off the forests and such here in america, and then when asked why they want to profit, they say 'to feed my family'. if they're so concerned with feeding their family, but turn half of their backyard into a garden and then can up in jars what they want to save so they don't have to depend on monsanto and their sterilized hybridized produce anymore? Why feed the monster anymore power than it should have? Why not use hemp for paper and clothing and such instead of having to deforest every bit of land you see for cotton or paper from trees? why should human interests take precedence over biodiversity and habitat? haven't humans done enough?
What makes people think that the environment shouldn't be protected with all our might?
