What makes her the "it" girl, and me the sidekick?

My clique rules the school, I'll be the first to admit it. We're all about to be seniors, and we're loving every step of the way.

But Bri has always been the queen of the school, even when she was a freshman. She's not a slut, but she can get any guy. She has a 4.0 GPA, but she's not a nerd. She always looks amazing, like she doesn't have to try (though I know she does).

And I'm okay with being her sidekick. It's sort of easier. But I'm just wondering, why is SHE the girl, and not me?

Bri is tall, about 5'11'', skinny, model. She's biracial, half black/half white and obviously kind of gorgeous. Fun, funny, rich... perfect.

But I am all of those things, too! I am short and blonde, about 5'2'' and cheerleading captain. Obviously I get a ton of guys too, but not like Bri. She has them WRAPPED around her finger. Guys just want to have sex with me, but they all are actually in LOVE with her.

What's the big difference? What puts Bri on top, and me just below? I thought cheerleaders were the high school "it" girls, and models were the college "it" girls.
