I had my wisdom teeth taken out with local anesthesia and a sedative. They were going to give me nitrous oxide and oxygen, but I told them of a prior bad experience with nitrous oxide (it made me feel really weird), so they only gave me oxygen. Then they gave me an IV, and all I remember was the doctor saying, "You're going to be floating on a cloud in just a minute." According to the doctor, I didn't sleep through the operation, but I can't remember anything else about it except being taken into the recovery room via wheelchair. I felt somewhat normal but very, very tired; it was like I was stuck in the daze that often occurs before drifting into sleep. I felt pretty happy, and everything was hilarious.
I'm just curious: what was the sedative?
By the way, I have no intention of abusing any drugs. I just don't have any problem with knowing what goes into my body.
