What Lube to use on my wah pedal?

I have an old Dunlop Crybaby Jimi Hendrix JH-1

I'm replacing the old scratchy pot that came with it

I'm wondering which lube was best to use, i read around that WD-40 dries out the part and makes it somewhat worse with each application,

Any help would be great
