What lens is a better idea to bring on a trip to the museum and then outdoors?

Distraction

I'm going on a field trip to San Francisco. I don' t want to bring more than one lens just because it's more of an outing for me than a serious photo shoot. We will be at an art museum and then we will be outdoors in a park to have lunch and such. We'll be able to see the golden gate bridge.

My predicament is I have the kit 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and a 50mm f/1.8. I also have a crop sensor camera which is the Canon 20D so all the focal lengths will appear longer. The thing is I absolutely love the quality of the 50 and I don't have much of a liking for the 18-55 because it's quality is more beginner plus it's a slow lens considering we'll be inside a museum which would be kinda dark. However I feel like the 50mm plus a crop sensor camera is not wide enough to capture everything I want it to have.

So do I bring the 50mm f/1.8 which is good quality, has a lens hood and filters, OR do I bring the okayish 18-55mm f/1.8 which is wide enough to be captured Indoors.

If it was just outdoors I'd bring the 50mm but I'm still considering because of indoor stuff as well.
