What lens for a Sony A33?

Considering buying a Sony A33. At this stage I am not impressed with the standard Sony 18-55mm lens, the zoom is not very smooth. Looking for an approx 18-100+ mm lens, so there is no need to swap lens while on holiday. The Sony 16-105mm is a possible option but the price it a bit to high. Then there are the Sigma and Tamron ranges?

Thoughts?
