what kind/type of pedal would i have to buy?

i wanna get the tone that is played in the intro of "say goodnight" by bullet for my valentine. and the tone also in these songs...
hearts burst into fire (intro)
cries in vain intro(intro)
and curses (intro)

i wanna get that specific type of tone clean but it has that certain sound also that i want. what pedal gives me that?

i think its a wah pedal but im not sure.
please let me know
