What kind of tattoo will work better for the palm? hardlined or rendered?

i am looking to get a palm tat.
yes, i know how they fade and need to be redone and hurt and all that.
ok, now that that is out of the way,
i am looking to get a microphone done.
i usually like hardlined tattoos, but on this one i think i might want it rendered, however, it seems as though a hardline tat might be better.
let me know what you think.
