What kind of speakers should I get for my car?

I have a 1999 Saturn and love listening to loud music. I'm wondering what's the best type of speakers I should get. And what is a sub woofer? I don't know too much about the speaker thing but I know I better get some before I blow mine out. Can someone help me. I'm looking for maybe some speakers that don't cost much. How much watts is good watts? example: 100 watts, 300 watts, 1200 watts. I seen that while searching online. Thank you
