Currently I have a hardbound sketchbook with spiral binding, which personally i like a lot. Because the pages don't rip out whenever i turn the page to work on the next sketch.
I mainly use it for fashion sketches and prismacolor markers which work really well on it....but mine actually works really well with pencil and pastel as well.
I'm pretty sure it's by Canson, and it's 11x14.
