I need to know what type of lawyer I need to consult to press charges against someone for malicious damage to personal property. The person busted out my back windshield, carved up the entire drivers side, and threw heavy wooden corn hole sets through the side, the damage is well over 3 grand. I don't even know where to begin.
Also, I "assaulted" this person, so I may need representation for that as well.
My assault is listed as "simple assault, non aggrevated" because all I did was shove her down. I had no choice, she was going psycho, destroying the beach house, screaming and cussing at the top of her lungs right in front of all of our children. Someone had to stop her. She and her husband destroyed my car afterward. We live in NC, this happened in SC. The reason we need the lawyer is because the car is in my mother in laws name (her mother), so its going to be tricky proving that we own it and pay for it. Also, to try to block us from suing, her mom, my husbands mother, put the car in the shop and paid for it. We dont want money, we just want to press charges, and hopefully also get her mother reimbursed because we are tired of the poor woman having to pay for this girls screw ups. She has drained the womans retirement fund!
Oh, and, angry mob member, not to be rude, but I did not ask whether or not the assault was going to be a problem, I asked an entirely different question. Its rude to use peoples questions just so you can give as many lame answers as you can to earn points.
