I have an old Les Paul. It's about 7-9 years old and I need new strings.
I want Ernie Ball and I need to know what gauge I need. I am somewhat of a beginner so I want a lower gauge but I don't know what I should get for the sound I want.
I want a metal/rock sound, btw.

I will change it every 2 months from now on, but my mum bought it for my dad 7-9 years ago and he never really played it. I just decided to teach myself how to play it and the strings are broken. I usually play drums, but I want to learn guitar too
