What kind of grooming do you do for reining?

When you're showing reining, what grooming do you have to do before a show? Obviously making the horse really, really clean, doing a great job brushing mane/tail, etc..but what else? Like, do you leave the mane natural? Is a bridle path necessary? Do you clip the fetlock? Whiskers?

I'm mostly concerned, because my horse is pasture boarded and that absolutely is not changing. I will not stall my horse. He needs his whiskers out in the pasture, and he needs his fetlock hairs, since they help run the water off legs. I personally HATE bridle paths, though i suppose i could deal with one for showing. I keep his mane pulled either way.

So, what kind of grooming do you do for reining?
I just thought...i use SMB's for fronts, and i'm getting skid boots for back...can i keep those on for showing? if that's the case, i won't worry about trimming his hairs.
