Congratulations on wanting to join. That would be a great career if you get that. When you are in the military, prior to getting out, there is a class or whatnot you have to go thru. For the Army, (not sure if it is called something different for different branches), called ACAP. They help you go thru your career choices, write your resume and so forth in order for you to be successful after getting out. Do a search on Google or something, using search/key words as Civilian jobs compatible with military combat engineering. You would even be able to get government jobs working on bases as well. The nice thing about that is, just like military where you get ranks, government jobs have a rating as well. It is a GS rating. That is based on experience with years of experience as well. And if you are prior military getting a GS rating, you would automatically get a higher rating due to time in, than someone who has never worked for the government.
