I'm speaking of the automatic models BTW. I'm way too tall for a Civic, but does the gas mileage of the Civic blow the Accord's out of the water? I'm one of those gas saving nuts who can't stand getting less than 30 mpg EVER or shelling out an outrageous amount of money for an overrated hybrid.
I've already checked over at fueleconomy.gov and a lot of 4 cylinder Accord owners are reporting an average of 23-26 mpg combined. That's way too damn low for a 4 banger. Something just doesn't sound right.
My uncle owns a mint '92 Thunderbird with a huge V8 that will fly and he averages 20 combined easy. So somebody out there please tell me the Accord gets better than the mid-20's. They have huge 18.5 gallon tanks and should see 550 miles per tank on a bad day easy. Am I wrong?
