what kind of fishing do they do in canada?

i'm living in canada and i love fishing and i'm korean. I had a rod from korea but i don't think it works here. so i'm trying to start a new kind of fishing except fly fishing(it is too hard) i like to go ocean fishing and catch some fish. I'm planning to do lure fishing but is there any other fishing that is popular and can catch a lot of fish in canada than fly and lure fishing? and what kind of lure do u use to catch fish like flatfish and flounder in canada?
I live in canada vancouver langley!! i go to belcarra to fish(ocean not belcarra lake.)
