What kind of fish should i get?

I have just purchased a 50 gallon tank, and i dont know that kind of fish to put in there. I was thinking cichlids but they may be too agressive. Does anyone have any ideas of a fish that has some size and looks nice.

if you like the cichlids i would go with them. you can get a variety of colors that ( in my opinion ) makes an aquarium look better. as long as you dont add other breeds of fish you will be ok but there are some other breeds that will be good tank mates with them. you would just have to research what breeds they are, i just dont remember any of them.

You should get a BETA fish because they live longer, but you shouldnt get a gold fish they die quicker.
