what kind of fish can live with a red ear slider turtle?

If you have a bubbler of some type and a heater... you can put any TETRA or Guppy, goldfish, platty, or just about anything but cichlids.

but feed him enough so he doesnt eat the fish.

Anything expendable as he'll eat any fish he can catch. I suggest guppies, they breed quick and easy, so you probably will get a more or less stable population. Just be sure you're filtering the water and they have some real or fake plants to hide in. For the best chances of getting a stable population you might have to breed the guppies first in another tank or rubbermaid container. It's not hard just give the fry some real plants to hide in and feed finely crushed flakes. After your first batch reach a decent size then transfer some of them to the turtle's tank. If they do ok then I'd risk putting the rest in. If they don't last too long, then keep breeding them in the separate tank for steady supply of live food.

honestly i don't think any...RES turtles LOVE to eat goldfish...so im not really sure.
Ha ha. sorry it wasn't a good answer.

uh nothing im sorry it will probally kill them i know you want fish and everything but dont kill them the turtle wont go with anything

the only fish i have had sucess keeping with my sliders were pretty much all the african cichlids i had to move into the tank in an emergency, pleco's and jack dempsys. i had a 200gallon tank go down and had to move the fish into the turtles 150. they were all around 3 to 4 inches and the turtles about 6. the only fish i actually ended up losing to the turtles were my two oscars, and a tinfoil barb. the 9 assorted affricans and the plecos and jacks seemed to fast for the turtles, and even aggressive to them as they outgrew them. most of them lived in the tank with the turtles for almost 6 months till i was able to replace the large tank.( an extremely high expense i was not planning on) i ended up leaving the jacks and the plecos in the tank with the turtles. ill try to get a pic and upload it, but theve been in there with the turtles for a little over a year now
