I currently owe on student loans from citibank from when I attended college back in 2003-2004. I hit a bump in my life that caused me to drop out and not have the money to pay on them either, so the Department of Education garnishes my tax returns for what I owe every year. I tried to fill out a FAFSA a couple years ago, but they didn't accept my application because of this debt.
Is there any way for me to get other financial aid to go back to school? I just had a son, and my Mother was just diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis so I'm going to need an education to take care of the both of them... do I have any immediate options for going back to college? Or am I going to have to wait until I can pay off my old loan which could take years?
