Some commercial work has already begun on selling gene-therapeutic services, and eventually I would like to be an entrepreneur doing exactly that.
Would a PhD in Genetics be good enough?
Or would, say, an MD-PhD in Genetics or Molecular Biology, be better?
I am a poor student from a poor country, and as far as I know it is impossible to fund an MD for an international student, so the MD is out of the question.
(I am also a freshman undergraduate at a leading US university, intending to major in Mathematics and CS/Biocomputation with genetics classes at the medical school. Any suggestions regarding my undergraduate career are welcome.)
