im picky but i also want a good answer

well if you pay only 1000 it wont be good quality, you could look into some second hand bike in you buy and sell or craigslist. and if you want new then get something like this if you can pay a bit more http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5/SportsRec/Powersports/DirtBikes/PRD~0279886P/Baja%2BDR125%2BDirt%2BBike.jsp

or this if you cant http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5/SportsRec/Powersports/DirtBikes/PRD~0279814P/Baja%2B70%2BDirt%2BBike.jsp

but i highly recomend looking for an ok second hand honda, kawasaki or Yamaha, there the best, you might have to save a bit more money tho, in terms of size and power for you i recomend 125cc, or a 80, both would work for your size

My first bike was a 1990 yz125 that I got in 1998 for 1000$ I was 15 it was freakin awesome !

Well... if you want a bike with power that can jump... you'll be looking into mx bikes, but you said you don't wanna race em. My guess would be to go to your local dealer and see what they suggest. They can let you sit on some bikes to see what you feel most comfortable with. For $1000, you won't be able to buy a brand new bike for your size. You also have to remember that you need money to keep up a dirt bike(gas, oil, services, parts, etc...)
