I was hoping to get into classical music, but I really don't know anything about it. There aren't "popular" charts for it and they're full of titles like Opus _ in G minor sostenuto.. big words.
I'm told by a pianist that I like songs in minor, including Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (who doesn't like that?) and Chopin's Nocturne 11 Opus 37 in G minor (go listen to it- it's great). Also, if anybody has seen Corpse Bride by Tim Burton, Victor's Piano Solo is one of the most beautiful songs ever. I love Carol of the Bells but don't care for Fuer Elise, and enjoy all the piano songs by George Winston.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I like jazz and blues but not waltzes, polkas or any of that fancy ballroom music.
There's also this song Valse No. 5 in B Minor Opus 8 by Chopin that's good.
Ideas?
