What kind of car should I get?

I finally made the last payment on my car and of course it breaks down and really isn't worth fixing. So I need to get a NEW car. I am finished with buying used. I can really only budget about $300 monthly payments. Any ideas on what kind of cars I can get that will last? Or where to look for good deals?
I have near perfect credit (above 800)
 
Considering you only want to pay no more than $300 a month, unless you have excellent credit, you're going to have to get another used car.

I've always had good luck with carmax. Got to carmax.com and browse through some makes and model and the year. They give you all the specifics on the site and then review your credit and see what you're good for.
