what kind of bolt is on a jeep starter strange looking?

instead of going into the bolt like a torx bit it stick out like your supposed to use a funny socket

ill go for mh answer...torx bit are used alot by car makers theres days[both male and female]..

its called a torx. get used to hearing it because jeep uses alot of them. make sure you buy a quality set of torx because trust me, the cheap ones will strip or break quick.
