What kind of bike best fits this description?

I really want to buy a bike that is kind of vintage-ey like one you see people riding in the movies that come in pretty colors like teal and pink. They are simple bikes, not a while lot going on and they do not have handle brakes, just the kind where you peddle backwards to stop. I have looked a lot and I can't quite find one that fits me criteria but I know they exsist! I rode one once...
