Here in a couple of months, I'm going to be rooming with some of my best friends. They're bringing 2 cats and a small dog into the 2 bedroom apartment. I have no real issue with this, but I kinda want a pet of my own, y'know? I was thinking about getting a rat, but in hindsight it might get scared to death with all the other animals. I don't honestly want a fish because they're not good for cuddles, and I'm not allowed to do reptiles in this apartment complex.
Should I just scrap the idea of getting my own little fluff-ball, or is there some option I'm not seeing?
I'd LOVE a chinchilla, and a hamster sounds nice, too, but a buddy of mine who owned a few said they're just as easy to scare to death as a rat
And as much as I love dogs, I'd like something that I'd know where it's at when I'm at work or asleep, y'know? (plus, this place has a horrible flea problem in the courtyard)
