...civilization? During class my teacher asked us this question, as it pertains to Lord of the Flies. She then asked us to come up with some specific rules. I'm not asking for you to answer the question for me so that i can get a good grade, but rather, i want to get a better understanding of the question and know what others think so that i can give a more well rounded answer. What are your thoughts on it?
 
Moral behavior is correctly and objectively defined by natural laws as follows: each creature should act in the way that will most probably proliferate the molecular information that led to his birth, without which his kind of creature would not be possible. That's nature's own moral code, and it is the same for us as for any other species of plant or animal.
