I just had this idea because I woke up about 10 minutes ago because of a short nightmare, waking up, and the following spooky hypnagogic hallucinations (sounds, sights, feelings that you experience during the period of falling asleep, mostly happening right before you fall asleep).
I just had a dream of some evil laugh and presence and woke up mostly (eyes open and movement is back). Because I was so exhausted I went back to sleep, and the instant I was about to fall asleep, i heard a really loud, clear screeching, followed by a loss of movement along with the feeling of being pressed down on the bed. All I could do was wiggle my feet and twitch. So, I managed to twitch myself awake.
This happened THREE TIMES in a row within the period of about 3 min. So, I finally got up and stayed up, despite my tiredness. This only seems to happen to me after I wake up and am completely awake, then decide to go back to sleep. Suffice to say, it was real spooky.
There are three named sleeping disorders associated with my event: Hypnagogic Hallucinations, Exploding Head Syndrome, and Sleep Paralysis. All are completely normal and don't make me crazy at all, mind you ;D
So, now, tell me your spookiest sleep moment, like if you've had a hallucination like mine or something similar. Craziest one gets a best answer and best score!
