I was thinking of getting off the depo and onto Implanon, but I'm worried about having weird periods. I've been on the Depo for 6 years now and haven't had a full blown period at all in that time. I spot every now and again, but it's very light. Well, when I was talking to the dr about it, she said she can't guarantee my periods won't stay away, but that because I'm coming straight off the Depo into Implanon within my 3 month window, and since I haven't had any cycles for 6 years, that the most I will probably have to worry about is just spotting since it's a lower dose of hormones than the depo and until my body gets used to the new contraceptive.
I just want to know what everyone else's opinions are of this birth control method. What were some benefits you got from it? What were some shitty things you got from it? I know everyone is different, but still, lol. I don't know how I'd get used to having periods again, lol.
