...the Nintendo DS or PSP? I realize that the DS is at least somewhat geared towards children but it's still expensive [the newer models, that is].
I ask because I was in GameStop the other day getting a case for my PSP Go and saw a kid who was probably younger than 10 holding his DSi XL.
Needless to say, the thing, screens and all, was covered in a layer of gunk because its owner does not take care of it.
Every child is different but many young kids simply don't have the know-how or maturity level and understanding to keep their stuff in good shape.
What do you think?
Is what I've described okay, as long as the parents are financially stable or is it unnecessary?
