present situation.? (I have developed her past but I want some input on how her personality stands on its own.)
She is extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high spirited, and practical, she also misapplies her talents, becomes over-extended, scattered and undisciplined. She is constantly seeking new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. She often has problems with impatience and impulsiveness.
She approaches life with curiosity, optimism, and a sense of adventure, like “a kid in a candy store” who looks at the world in wide-eyed, rapt anticipation of all the good things she is about to experience. She is bold and vivacious, pursuing what she wants in life with a cheerful determination.
Her thinking is anticipatory: she foresees events and generates ideas “on the fly,” favoring activities that stimulates her mind—which in turn generates more things to do and think about. She is not intellectual or studious by any standard definition, although she is extremely intelligent and is be widely read and highly verbal. Her mind moves rapidly from one idea to the next, making her gifted at brainstorming and synthesizing information. She is exhilarated by the rush of ideas and by the pleasure of being spontaneous, preferring broad overviews and the excitement of the initial stages of the creative process to probing a single topic in depth.
She is endowed with a quick, agile mind, and is an exceptionally fast learner. This is true both of her ability to absorb information (language, facts, and procedures) and her ability to learn new manual skills.
Ironically, her wide-ranging curiosity and ability to learn quickly can also create problems for her. Because she is able to pick up many different skills with relative ease, it becomes more difficult for her to decide what to do with herself. As a result, she also does not always value her abilities as she would if she had to struggle to gain them.
She does not feel that she knows what to do or how to make choices that will be beneficial to herself and others. She copes with this anxiety by trying to keep her mind busy all of the time. As long as she can keep her mind occupied, especially with projects and positive ideas for the future, she can, to some extent, keep anxiety and negative feelings out of conscious awareness. Since her thinking is stimulated by activity, she is compelled to stay on the go, moving from one experience to the next, searching for more stimulation.
On a very deep level, she does not feel that she can find what she really want in life. She therefore tends to try everything—and ultimately may even resort to anything as a substitute for what she is really looking for (she has the tendency to retreat to alcohol).
Her way of dealing with this is be to cram as many different countries, cities, and attractions into her life as possible. While she is scrambling after exciting experiences, the real object of her heart’s desire (her personal Rosebud, as it were) is be so deeply buried in her unconscious that she isn't really aware of precisely what it is.
Furthermore, as she speeds up her pursuit of whatever seems to offer freedom and satisfaction, she tends to make worse choices, and is less able to be satisfied because everything is experienced indirectly, through the dense filter of her fast-paced mental activity. The result is that she ends up anxious, frustrated, and enraged, with fewer resources available to her physically, emotionally, or financially. She often ends up ruining her health, her relationships, and her finances in her search for happiness.
On the positive side, however, she is extremely optimistic —exuberant and upbeat. She is endowed with abundant vitality and a desire to fully participate in her life each day. She is naturally cheerful and good humored, not taking herself too seriously, or anything else for that matter. Her basic desire is to be satisfied, happy, and fulfilled, and when she is balanced within herself, her joy and enthusiasm for life naturally affect everyone around them. She reminds people of the pure pleasure of existence—the greatest gift of all.
PS If you've seen criminal minds: would she be a compatible lover for Reid?
