Fellowship of the Ring--17 times at the cinema, countless times on DVD

The Two Towers--13 times at the cinema, about ten times on DVD.

The Return of the King--10 times at the cinema, umpteen times on DVD.

Star Wars--12 times at the cinema when it first came out.("AGAIN??", from Mum) :D

JAWS--saw it when it first came out.I was 11 and once was enough, though I did watch it again when I was older and less likely to spew in public :o :D

And how many times have you seen it?

I think mine is Gone With the Wind but I don't own it - I just can't resist watching it, or part of it whenever it is on. I'm not a great one for re-watching films, which is why I don't own many. Life of Brian gets a few airings too.

Carrie and Repulsion. I think 'positive' formative influences definitely stick with you, both of those made their initial mark on me in my young teens. Although not to the extent that I'm having a mental breakdown or psychically launching the silverware at anyone; it's about having developed a flavour for films of an elaborately and floridly cinematic language, captivating the imagination and senses, rather than 'stories' or 'action'.

Sergio Leone's films especially - The GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY.
I have seen that film so many times over the last 30 years , people would think I was mental :D

Non Sergio Leone films would be.
Spartacus
Cross of iron
Goodfellas

Probably, Clint Eastwood's Spaghetti Western trilogy, Fistful of Dollars, For a few Dollars More and The Good the bad and the Ugly. I may have seen the middle one more times, not sure.

The Sound of Music. In the school holidays as a kid i would watch it almost everyday.

I've seen the film, A Knight's Tale many times too, but only because it always used to be on the telly.

And, Avatar.

Falling in Love with De Niro and Meryl Streep, and the film it was based on Brief encounter with Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson.

Perfect for a rainy afternoon.

Aliens - countless times ever since 1988.
Rocky Horror Picture Show - perhaps too many thats deemed healthy
The Ninth Gate - i love it so much
Perfume and Pan's Labyrinth - both are newer, but watched more times then others films from around the same time.

Trainspotting. Well over 200 times.
But I was a cinema Usher at the time, so I had to watch at least 4 times a day.
Still seen it many times since though cos it's a cracking film - though not my favourite.

Godfather parts 1 & 2 at least 30 times (part 3 only twice and I still can't believe I even bothered to watch it a second time).

Sleepers - probably around 30 times too.
