what is your favorite mystery book writer that is female?

my favorite myster writer who is a female is " Mary higgens clark "
the book i love the most is " no place like home" and " i heard that song before" what are yours?
 
Nevada Barr. Her park ranger character Anna Pigeon is an interesting and complex person, and Ms. Barr's sense of place and history is wonderful. I think my favorite book is Firestorm, because it is essentially a "locked room" murder mystery that happens in the middle of a forest in a forest fire.
 
Sherrilyn Kenyon, she wrote 5-6 different series over the last 30 years but i loved her Dark-Hunter series the best. The dream hunter series was ok but not as good, and the were hunter series wasn't all that good( was one of her early series that she stopped long ago)
