I have a Sony Wega that is maybe 6 years old. As of now, when it's on, it will randomly go blank for anywhere between five seconds and thirty seconds. Also, the standby light flashes five times and then repeats a few seconds later. There is still sound, all the connections are good, etc. This happens A LOT. Sometimes it will do it every 30 seconds, sometimes every 5 or 10 minutes, and even sometimes a mix of the above. I tried Sony's support, and their automated troubleshooting does not grant access when you inquire about this problem, so I assume they know they effed up in some way. Is there a possible fix I can do? I'm handy with electronics, so it's no big deal to go into it and rig it up if needed.
