What is wrong with my Honda 2001 EX Power door locks?

Hi,
I just buy a used 2001 honda civic ex (2 doors).

Here is the original condition:
It comes with a not working remote (no response at all when I press the button) and the driver door does not respond to the power lock button/lever on the door at all.
The passenger door is working fine when I use the power lock.
Both doors are working fine if I use the key to lock and unlock them.

I replace the battery in the remote, and now :
The driver side door still does not work.
The passenger side door can be locked using remote, but cannot be unlocked (the car lights blink, but the door won't unlock).

Note: The car lights always blink whenever any button on the remote is pressed. And it honks too.

1. What is the problem?
2. Do know roughly, how much does it cost to fix it?
3. If I want to fix it myself, where can I get the part(s)?

A bad master switch (the driver's door switch assembly) would give you those symptoms. Try swapping it for a known good one. They're a couple of hundred dollars new. You can get one at the dealer or online. If that's not it, check the wiring inside the door (could have been ripped up by somebody slim-jimming the door lock). If you don't find anything else, bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.
